Tracy Stevens, MD tells what health care providers have learned about the diagnosis and treatment of women's heart disease and how women can take control of their heart health.
Despite broad concern about heart disease as a leading cause of death in the United States, a recent survey of American adults sponsored by Nature Made® and WomenHeart found that many disregard taking some of the basic steps to support a healthy heart. Join Nature Made and WomenHeart to narrow the "proactivity gap" and participate in the 100,000 Heartbeats campaign!
Congratulations to the WomenHeart Champion Class of 2010, who completed the WomenHeart Science & Leadership Symposium at Mayo Clinic on October 13. These 55 women join WomenHeart's nationwide corps of women heart disease survivors trained to educate women about heart disease as their leading health risk, advocate for health care policy that supports heart health, and expand support services for women living with heart disease. Watch this site for more information about the Class of 2010, photos from the symposium and the application for the 2011 Symposium.
