| CT scan |
A noninvasive test that uses X-rays to produce an image of body tissue |
| CT venography |
an alternative to the standard venography test to diagnose deep vein thrombosis and vein disease; this test uses a CT scanner and an injected dye to produce images of the veins and blood flow through them |
| Cyanosis |
A bluish discoloration of the skin caused by an abnormally high level of deoxygenated hemoglobin in the blood. It occurs in heart failure and certain types of congestive heart disease. |
| Cytomegalovirus (CMV) |
A virus that may cause fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, and fever. It has also been associated with heart disease. |
